Encouraging confidence and a calmer inner voice

What if the people with the life you want are not What if the people with the life you want are not people you want to become?

We are told to find someone successful, follow the life they have, the routine they keep, the blueprint they built.

Yet what if their values don’t match yours.

Or what happens when you find people who match your values, but they don’t quite have the life that you want?

This week's A Weekly Pause asks the question nobody really gives you permission to ask.

This week's prompts sit alongside the idea that yo This week's prompts sit alongside the idea that you do not have to wait for circumstances to change before you can feel differently.

Sometimes the shift is entirely internal, a quiet decision that nobody around you even knew was happening.

These are not here to push you toward action or suggest you need to overhaul anything.
They are just an invitation to notice where you might have a little more influence than you have been giving yourself credit for.

One honest thought is more than enough.

Prompt 1: Think of a moment recently where you went along with your default response. What would a small deliberate shift have looked like in that moment?

Prompt 2: Is there a pattern you keep noticing in yourself that you have not yet chosen differently in? What would it take to interrupt it, even once, even quietly?

Prompt 3: What is one small deliberate choice you could make today that nobody else would know about but you?

Some of the most meaningful shifts are entirely in Some of the most meaningful shifts are entirely internal.

A decision made in a split second that nobody around you knew was happening.

Progress that no one else can see is still progress.

Shifts that feel small from the inside often look significant from a distance of time.

You are further along than you are giving yourself credit for 💛

This week's A Weekly Pause starts with something t This week's A Weekly Pause starts with something that happened in a car on a long day, when I was tired and not feeling 100%, and made a small internal decision that nobody else even noticed.

No drama.

No big moment.

Just a quiet shift that went in a different direction than it usually would.

The email is about what it looks like to create a shift deliberately, rather than waiting for one to happen to you.

It is smaller and more ordinary than it sounds, which is rather the point.

This week's prompts sit alongside the idea that a This week's prompts sit alongside the idea that a small shift in perspective can change how a whole day feels, not by pretending things are fine, but by finding the one angle that is a little more honest and a little less stuck.

These are not here to rush you toward a positive conclusion.

They are just an invitation to look at something from a slightly different place.

A thought in passing counts just as much as a full page of writing.

Sometimes what a hard day needs is not to be solve Sometimes what a hard day needs is not to be solved or processed or pushed through.

It just needs a crack in the momentum.
One different moment.
That is often enough.

A soft heart still needs edges. If you feel thing A soft heart still needs edges.

If you feel things deeply, you probably know how quickly caring can tip into carrying.

The mood of a room absorbed before you have even settled. A sense of responsibility for fixing something that was never yours to fix.

That capacity to feel deeply is not the problem.

The question is whether it has edges, or whether it is quietly costing you more than it should.

A low-confidence day is not the same thing as a lo A low-confidence day is not the same thing as a low-worth day.

On the harder days, the inner voice gets louder and starts to sound like the truth.

It has a way of presenting feelings as facts, and a dip in confidence as evidence of something permanent about you.

Worth does not fluctuate with your output or how well you performed today.

There is a quieter, steadier voice underneath all of it, and it has a far more honest read on who you actually are.

To the woman out there doubting herself. Today t To the woman out there doubting herself.

Today this is for you.

If you pause before you post anything or before you say anything, I want you to know that I see you.

I want you to know that there are other women out there who feel the same as you, that they too pause before they take action.

They bend and twist and silently crack and break while they hold other people up.

If this is you, I want you to know this, you are worth so much more than what you can do for people. You are worth so much more than the person who told you that you couldn't. You are worth so much more than the person who scoffed at your dreams and idea's and laughed when you gazed with wonder at the sunset.

You are worth so much more than all of those people.

The beauty of you in all the pieces that other people quietly put in boxes and hid from you.

Go find those pieces, that's where your genius lies.
